Today some of the members of the Baby Boomers Plus group enjoyed the ZimSculpt exhibit at the Toronto Botanical Garden. Over a hundred stone sculptures from Zimbabwe are displayed throughout the gardens, and we even had a chance to watch the talented designers at work. Well worth a visit, the exhibit is on until September 30.

The badminton group has returned from its holiday hiatus. Come out and play with the club at the Church of the Ascension at 33 Overland Drive, across from the Shops at Don Mills.  Just bring your shoes and racquet.

We meet Mondays 10-12 and Thursdays 1:30-3:30. Try us out a couple of times for free; $3 per visit after that. Or pay $30 for the winter/spring season.

Parking is free at the back of the church; enter the church through the rear doors.

So, what are you reading?

Next up for discussion with the Book Review group is The Mystery of Princess Louise: Queen Victoria’s Rebellious Daughter written by Lucinda Hawksley.

The book has been described as “Satisfyingly replete with eye-popping stories of life at the various palaces”  by Rachel Cooke – Observer
