University Women’s Club of North York (UWCNY) is Celebrating its 65th Anniversary and 40 years of supporting students – a total of $245,000 in scholarships have been distributed through its Scholarship Fund.

October 31, 2016 – Toronto, ON – – The University Women’s Club of North York is pleased to announce that it has provided $245,000 over 40 years in bursaries and scholarships to women at York University, Seneca College of Applied Arts, Earl Haig Secondary School, Claude Watson School for the Arts, as well as a memorial fellowship awarded through the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW).

Comments from the President of Seneca: “The University Women’s Club of North York has a 65-year history of advancing the status of women and girls in the fields of science and engineering through its scholarship program. The Club is one of Seneca’s longest-serving donors, having supported students of our Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering Technology for 40 years,” says David Agnew, President of Seneca College.

Several of this year’s award recipients are going to be recognized on October 31, 2016, 7:30 p.m. at the UWCNY General Meeting, St. Bonaventure Parish Centre, 1300 Leslie Street, Toronto (Just south of Lawrence Ave. East).
